If you have children, they are about to be used against you. Again.
Five-year-olds are asked about things they don't understand and about which they have no reason or ability to suspect any ulterior motive.
Defending its actions, the council said -
Daniella Yeo, of Erewash council, said the after-school clubs were very popular and that the questions followed guidelines set by NICE, the NHS's regulatory body.
She added: 'They will help us target families at risk of obesity. We can then encourage parents to attend sessions with social services or GPs.'
If they think you might be on the chubby side, based entirely on an interrogation of your child, they will 'target' you.
I'm a smoker. I've been 'targeted', shot, downed and they are still firing. Trust me, it's not pleasant. I'm a drinker too. I was 'targeted' for that and they're still firing too. That's not pleasant either. When these people target you, it is not to help you. It is to demonise and destroy you.
If you have children, consider homeschooling or private schools. Or set up a private school of your own, if you know how.
Whatever you do, get your child out of the state schools. They are not there to teach. They are there to indoctrinate.

How? When? Tell us about it.
Frank - same as you. We're banned from everywhere, tobacco is being hidden away like dodgy porn and yet still they keep coming. They won. They banned us from every indoor public space and many outdoor ones too, and still it's not enough. They have to pump a few more bullets into that smoker's corpse by claiming that now we're outside we're a nuisance, that we must be controlled in our own homes and that we need a whole army of pompous inspectors to check up on us.
It still makes me smile a little to hear the arrogance and the astounding stupidity of - 'Smokers are standing outside pubs I never went into and yet demanded they were banned from, and now they are smoking in the street where I can see them and I am offended.'
These cretins will never understand how they have been manipulated. There's no point trying to explain to them.
The antismokers have won. We are banned from everywhere they might want to go and even from everywhere they'll never want to go and it's not enough for them. They want more. They want it all.
If there's anything worse than a bad loser, it's a bad winner.
"Whatever you do, get your child out of the state schools. They are not there to teach. They are there to indoctrinate."
Too true.

Oh, so that makes it acceptable then does it?
Well, the question on all forms, from job applications, to marraige documnts, in Germany from 1933 to 1945, "are you Jewish?" was aproved by a Government run body as well, so they must have been O.K then.
Unfortunately, home-schooling has been targeted, too. Balls is forcing them to become 'approved' - premises will be inspected, and curricula checked.
They'll leave no stone unturned in their effort to institutionalise everyone and everything.

Daniella Yeo is a scary woman. She'd look good in one of those little blue Mao suits, ordering calisthenics in front of the Town Hall.
Why, oh why, does no-one tear these forms up and throw them back in the faces of the people who demand they be filled in. Not the kids, naturally, but the parents.

LI, I live in a high rise block that went warden controlled many years ago and since then only tenanted the old and the infirm but I stayed on as me and Mrs Yin have no children. An hour after reading your post the other day on your doctors fishing expidition into your smoking habits I had a visit from the warden. Nice bloke but overworked by all the paperwork he now has to get filled in, this one was fire regulations and whether we knew the exit points in case of fire etc.
Near the bottom of the questions were these last two: Does either (we both do) of you smoke? And if you do where in the flat? Everywhere, the kitchen etc.
I am now being targeted as a potential risk to other flatdwellers even though there has not been a fire in these flats in the over thirty years I've lived here. I am now awaiting callers from various departments/stop smoking services to start badgering me about smoking.
I signed the form/questionaire as I said to myself "bring it on."
I have had a sign on my flat door proclaiming freedom2choose's commitment to fighting for smokers rights ever since 1/7/07, they know who I am and where I stand on the smoking ban issue.
Let the fun and games begin eh.

Because they have you by the short and curleys.
They just refuse to register you.
ALSO, do not forget how easy it is for them to trump up some excuse to take the bastards...sorry "children", away from a parent nowdays on ANY made up pretence.
You tell the receptionist to go screw herself sideways with a prickly pear plant and before your arse touches, the bastards are in care.
PS: Tobacco display ban passes into law in Scotland.

Guidelines lol - not legal, not lawful, no wet signature between you and NICE or you and the NHS. The word "guidelines" is now used to make people scared, as if NICE's "guidelines" are law and must be followed or else.
@ Big Yin - this is the antis next big move - banning smoking indoors due to "fire risk".
Something I noticed in the dentist's surgery yesterday was a poster on the wall which proclaimed in big letters "1 person dies every 3 minutes from oral cancer". (That's about 175,000 people a year.) When I got home I had a quick look on the internet for this particular statistics but couldn't find it. In the UK in 2007 about 1800 people were listed as dying of oral cancer, which is nowhere near 1 person every 3 minutes. In the USA the figures were higher (larger population) but still didn't add up to 1 person every 3 minutes. A USA oral care website stated 400,000 people per year in the entire world died of oral cancer, which is about 2.28 people every 3 minutes (only a quick and rough calculation). None of these figures adds up to 1 every 3 minute. Of course, most people will believe what the poster says without checking the facts because it said so in their dentist's surgery.
Dear Mr Leg-Iron
"She added: 'They will help us target families at risk of obesity. ..."
How about simply sizing up a) the child, b) the parents when collecting said child? Even a cursory glance would indicate whether there was an obesity 'problem'; which suggests that that nice Ms Yeo is dissembling, lying or has been lied to as to the true purposes - which are probably manyfold; from fishing to condiditioning children to respond to intrusive questions without question.

This is a good illustration of what is going horribly wrong in the UK: Misson creep.
In every avenue of Government, departments and services are juggling responsibilities that they shouldn't have to. Schools are turning children into weight obsessed eco-Nazis at the expense of teaching them.
What is needed is everyone in Government getting back to basics (for want of a better phrase). Do what they did 20 years ago not all this sinister 'monitoring'. They have become biological CCTV units.
Dear Mr Leg-Iron
Now read the Mail article. In my youth I learnt a tiny bit about surveys which contain 'padding' questions to hide the real purpose.
"The questions - which have been attacked as exploitative - ask about junk food, television habits, family time and even whether the youngsters 'like themselves'. "
That last seems like the killer: if you want to put children on registers, find out if they 'like themselves'. I suspect all of their answers could be interpreted as 'at risk' by a truly zealous social worker with a target to meet and short on quota of 'taken into care'.
6 pieces of fruit a day? 4 packets of crisps? The adult 'five a day' would probably be satisfied with a single apple for a 5 year old, depending on the size of both.
What planet are these people on?
Who pays their salaries?
Oh.
Why do we pay taxes?

Twas ever thus LI although much more in the past 30 years. Back in my primary school days we were taught little or nothing about Scottish history and Burns seldom came into the picture either. We were taught endless Shakespeare instead.
Thankfully I had grandparents who balanced my junior education but many others weren't as fortunate.
ps I loathe Shakespeare but still haven't managed to offload hours of his writings which were imprinted on my mind. Brainwashed I was.
Don't ever register the birth of your children. There is no legal need to and "they" cannot do anything about it even though they will threaten you with a fine. Just take no notice.
When your child gets to 16 they can apply for a National Insurance number for the princely sum of £12.50.
If you don't register them they do not belong to the state so they cannot indoctrinate them, take them away from their parents or move them for their own safety. The child has to belong to the state to be given state education indoctrination course.
Balls homeschooling control freakery has been watered down considerably by a few sane politicians on a select committee but even if it comes into full force if the children are not registered there is nothing the state can do to intervene in homeschooling either.
Go to www.lawfulrebellion.org and listen to the Toolkit 1 & 2 mp3's and get your eyes opened.

Similarly...
I have a kid. We moved abroad, and then returned. Whilst abroad my wife became taken with the idea of home schooling. On our return, because the kid had been taken out of school to go abroad, the kid wasn't registered with the authorities and was able to be home schooled without interference from the Stasi.
The kid is at college now. No mental problems from bullying. No drugs. No under age sex. A decent and mature young adult who can talk to people of all ages. I have been getting better and more intelligent conversations out of her than I have from most adults for several years.
It all worked out quite well.
She even has a gay friend.
We are of course Nazis, and I am typing this whilst wearing my SS Ubergrupenfuhrers uniform.
Seig Heil!
Subrosa - I was taught in Wales. No Welsh lessons (I think they are compulsory now) but one of the fiercest English teachers on the planet. For which, in many ways, I am grateful.
I'll never forget Shakespeare either because we did the Tempest in class and I was assigned Antonio. He had one line in the whole play. I missed it.
There was no mention of Dylan Thomas. Or Eisteddfod.
