I'm off out for a Smoky-Drinky evening. Since I've sent off an eyewatering invoice today, I shall be mostly drinking Glenlivet 15-year-old. Back later tonight. Maybe.
Also out is Phil Woolas. He's not quite out yet, the Squeaker will have to prise his fingers off the doorframe of his office, but if he doesn't go then he will be a permanent embarrassment to Labour and an easy target at the next election.
A by-election looks likely and there will be a Libertarian candidate.
Finally, if you're out enjoying the sight of burning money this evening, here are some handy safety tips.
I'll be burning my money indoors tonight. Drinking it, too.

I burn my money in a pipe.
Woolas was doomed,he did'nt
support the total smoking ban.
As for the Libby party standing in
Oldham East
I've just fell of mi stool laughing.
Ruffyed
Prefer a bottle of red, myself.
Enjoy yourself tonight.
And come back tomorrow with your usual stinging conclusion as to just what is going on out there!
Don't let us suffer this degradation and demonisation of our nation alone. Please.
Just been listening to a 'waste warden' from Essex talking on the radio.
She hands out £80 fines for dropping your fag end on the ground and is very proud of it.
She makes sure she's covered by CCTV then tells the filthy nasty smoking scumbag that she will call the Police and demands name/address etc.
Interestingly she claims that a fag end takes twelve and half years to bio-degrade. Didn't want to go to Essex anyway.
Some good news awaits you on your return, Leg-Iron - Holland is partially reversing the no smoking ban.
Meanwhile, Geert Wilders' trial has been dissolved and he may be retried by a different judge, or the charges against him might be dropped altogether.
Needless to say, the BBC isn't too happy about that. If anyone is responsible for engendering hate, it is surely the BBC.
Apologies for the off-topic post!
Maybe off-subject but I noticed a blurb in an American blogsite saying something about BBC workers going on strike for more money or retirement benefits, something like that. What will everyone do if the BBC broadcasts get interrupted was the worry that immediately came to mind when I read it. I mean people won't know what to think, now will they, if the propaganda gets shut off a few days or worse, weeks.
Ruffyed - they probably won't win this time. But if they never stand, who will know they exist?
It has to start somewhere.
BBC going on strike for Christmas? Oh No! We might not get to see 'The Sound of Music!'
The BBC have evidently failed to notice that they are competing with hundreds of satellite channels these days. If the entire organisation collapsed, nobody would notice until the Dr. Who Christmas Special failed to appear.
Let them strike. And since they are no longer working, the question of why the licence fee exists becomes a very big question indeed.
