A bit of Christmas cheer.

Apparently NASA or someone have set up some kind of system to track Santa. Let's hope those Patriot missiles don't get him this year.

Outside, light rain has turned the snow into a sheet of polished ice but I have no plans to go anywhere for a few days at least. Nobody will be able to get near the house either. It's better than a moat and cheaper too.

I have a stock of whisky, wine and food and I'm dug in for the duration. Just need to set up the candles and prepare the 'Hail Santa' chant for midnight.

No ranting tomorrow. I'll only be on if I have something funny to say and am sober enough to say it. It's every curmudgeon's day off.

Merry Christmas to one and all.

Except politicians. For you lot, I hope Rudolph shits down your chimney.

And I hope he's been eating a particularly virulent curry.

I'll catch up on all those comments on Boxing Day or maybe tomorrow if the TV is as crap as usual. For now, oblivion beckons...

Have a good Christmas you closet-case, self-loathing communist. In a spiky helmet.

You still don't fool me, pinko.

Have a great one.

Ours is all over now. Today and tomorow to recover. But prezzy taking, and the main eating and drinking, is all done on the 24th here. Which is NOT a "holiday". So people come straight from work, and fall right into the middle of it.

What it DOES do, is stop the "can not get near the bloody bar for my beer syndrome which happens there every 24th December. In fact, you are hard put to, to find a pub OPEN after about 16:00. Those that are are normally "closed" for private partys.

BUT they are open as normal today, SOOO, I must leave you all, and get ready to help keep a couple of brewery workers in a job :-)

Lucky bastard!

I have to act as "taxi driver" for the folks (as per bloody usual) so no chance of getting merry....

ACH!!

I had that about five years running in Britain. From the Wirral to Runcorn, then back, then to bloody Manchester. I rebelled when they said "can you take Aunt Freja to Blackpool".

NO I bloody can not! I will point her to the bloody train station. And promptly drank about a quarter bottle of Lambs navys best to make my point.

Na have fun where and when you can find it Dave. Get a sick note for new year, or something. One that sais you need to spend all day drinking your favourite brew and doing whatever you do to relax/oarty. :-)

It was NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, that was tracking Santa, yet they were unable to scramble jets to intercept the hijacked planes on 9/11.

Makes you wonder.

Happy Christmas to you LI, and one and all, and here's hoping a few more conspiracy theories are exposed as fact next year as well.

Thanks to all.

I have a Laurel and Hardy DVD collection on 21 disks here. I think it's everything they ever made. There will be times when I'll go spontaneously silent.

Oh, and the fluid presents from those who know me a little too well...
