Too tired to think, so letting others do it for me.

Late home from another sixty-sample day and knackered. I'm going to look at other bloggers' stuff instead.

I see it's badge time again and confusingly, they've allocated the badge to the old blog. I'll tell them about it tomorrow. Too tired to care tonight.

JuliaM has the tale of the New Council Inquisition that no longer needs to prove a crime in order to fine you for it. All they need do is accuse you. No actual crime need be committed at all. Clever, eh?

Fuel Injected Moose peers into the mind of a smokophobe and finds it's like looking into a kaleidoscope filled with vomit. Really, there is nothing in these people but spite.

Stan is joining the smoky-drinky fraternity in style.

HandymanPhil is contacted by Gentleman Jim, who becomes enlightened as a result.

Ciggie Busters - a non-smoker can see where it's going. (via the Filthy Engineer).

Nothing to say other than - Google Searched. Well, it's time someone did.

Over at Anna Raccoon's, a socialist paradise is revealed. Interestingly, immigration is forbidden.

And as for drink controls, well it seems they are based on as much truth as smoking controls.

Finally, Old Holborn is in the news again, this time in the Grauniad! Oh, the humanity!

There are loads more out there. I can't list them all.

As for me, I'm too shattered to do any more than drink some whisky and smoke a few rollies. Tomorrow I'm back in the lab, counting bacteria. I won't know whether anything has worked yet because all I get are samples numbered 1-60 and I don't get told which are 'test' and which are 'control' until I hand over the numbers. That's how science should be done. Pay attention, Cleggeron. If they tell you the conclusions before they even get the funding, only a total moron would give them the funding. Yes, Cleggeron, that's you.

I have a really cool fluorescent growth medium for E. coli. It's even cooler than Eosin Methylene Blue agar, which makes them grow into metallic green colonies. It makes E. coli glow under UV so while testing, I get tanned fingers too. Hides the yellow bits.

So far I have not been able to eradicate Campylobacter from poultry but I'm working on it. I can reduce colibacillosis already, and that was just the first try. This lot came from chickens on a higher dose.

It needs some vitamin B3 in there, I think (look it up, smokophobes).

Seriously, I'm going to try the Stuff, when I get time, with added nicotinic acid. I have some, it won't cost me much because I have the lab and the equipment and most of the necessary media, all I need is some time.

If it boosts the effects I will give it to the company for free. Just so I can tell smokophobes 'there's nicotine in it so you won't be wanting any, now will you?' This is a not-for-profit vengeance. I will tell the company it's Vitamin B3 I've added, or the name given to it by the smokophobes (niacin), and you all know they will be none the wiser. Nor will their customers. Nor will anyone but the roughly 600-800 per day who visit here and let's be honest, globally, that's not very many at all.

If it works out I will contaminate every food product on the planet with nicotine and the smokophobes will have to eat each other to survive. The rest of us will be more resistant to gut disease than they are, which is a bonus.

No compromise, no mercy, no relief from the squits. You made me, Smokenstein.

Now, the monster needs to sleep.

But first, the monster needs just a tad more nicotine, alcohol and junk food. Tomorrow I will do some of my own thinking. Probably.

A few more of these knackering days and I'll be able to pay someone to do it for me.

Nicotinic Acid Utilization of Tobacco Waste
"Nicotinic acid was first made by the oxidation of nicotine and Whiffens operate a commercial process in this country starting with tobacco.
Later they were supplied with nicotine by the British Nicotine Company and continued the oxidation.

Finally - before the Second World War - they found they were unable to compete with manufacturers starting from quinoline and picoline although it could be made directly from tobacco waste, from pyridine, some other coal tar bases, nicotine, anabasine, nor-nicotine or mixed tobacco alkaloids.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture sponsored work aimed to make nicotine compete, as early as 1942, but although a new catalytic oxidation process was developed quinoline was still the cheapest source of nicotinic acid.
Comparative costs were published in 1951 by Coal Tar Products of Philadelphia"

Coffee won't scare them though.

Basic Chemical Reactions Occurring in the Roasting Process
"The best cup characteristic are produced when the ratio of the degradation of trigonelline to the derivation of Nicotinic Acid remains linear. The control model of this reaction ratio is a time/temperature/energy relationship. The environment temperature (ET) establishes the pyrolysis region for the desired chemical reactions while the energy value (BTU) and system transfer efficiency (STE) determines the rate of reaction propagation and linearity of Nicotinic Acid derivation to degradation of trigonelline"

Careful now! All those employment laws, H&S regulations, maternity and sick leave rules, damages for work-related injuries, etc, etc, etc?

Nah - if you make enough money to pay someone else, just take the money and run!

I've tried to leave a comment but satan's control over the internet is very strong. I have re-dialed up successively, changing IPs, hoping to outsmart and overcome the power of the IP tracers and lords of censorship, but to no avail, the comment shows, but then it doesn't show, it disappears. So if it ends up posted more than a single time, my apologies for having tried to beat the devil's tricks. Thanks for the blogsite. Don't worry about the numbers being 600 to 800 as it's only for a few that the grace of wisdom is given and it takes time for that wisdom to filter among the masses, enough for them to overcome the tyranny of lies presented endlessly through our mainstream propaganda. So very good blog, read it daily, helps me defeat the ignorance in this world and stop from slugging someone some days, when some love to repeat, repeat, repeat the brainless meanderings of the popularized propaganda of lies, in which they seem truly to believe.

It ate my post too, I'll try again.

The whole bunch of them are simply "control freaks" - as you so ably point out, smoking is jsut the first of many proscriptions ! ...

As a non-smoker (not anti-smoker) I decided that the worm had to turn ...

So, just yesteday, I bought a humidor, ten "Romeo y Julietta #1" cigars and a couple of packs of those lovely "Backwood" cigarillos ...

Yes, I paid local tax (this time) - but I have now sourced a supplier in Latvia who can deliver them to me for less than half of the Norwegian price ! ...

(I thought I'd give posting it one last try.)

"Nor will anyone but the roughly 600-800 per day who visit here and let's be honest, globally, that's not very many at all."

I am doing some research into some religious matters and not prosletyzing at all, just bringing up some facts.

But somewhere in the Bible are references to the "last days" and armagaddeon and that sort of thing - in many places, stated in various ways - could be a single line of events or could be cyclical through the ages - could be internal to our own seeing of the world or could be externally as seen by us all as groups - or a combination of interpretations.

But regardless, the point is it makes reference to "the 144,000" who are "sealed by God" at the end and depending on interpretation, which can be many, it does seem to be saying that this idea of "spirit" or awareness, as it comes to light, it doesn't come to light to the masses, speaking in more political terms, all at once, but filters in slowly, among "the few" before it dissolves into the conscious awareness of the many.

So in that respect, even if it is a small number who read the blog and/or comment, it is a growing awareness and I think of such vast importance, the topics you discuss here and bring to light, that you along with the other bloggers who approach this subject matter are among the cutting edge, the leaders, the first to come to realization, to have "the spirit" enlighten you - after which with luck or God's good grace, later on then might filter out, amongst the rest of us.

So in that respect, I would not feel badly beaten if it's only a small number who view the blogsite at first, for it's the ideas and realization more importantly, the more enlightened way of seeing things, that is the message that needs to be gotten out.

Your blogsite is wonderful. I love to read it daily, certainly more so than the mainstream propaganda and it helps me ward off the evils I endure from the polly parrot sycophants who spout their "wisdom" where-ever one goes - in the streets, in the workplace, on the subway, at the store - just a nation full of dolts repeating whatever the MSM tells them to think, but saying it mindlessly, without any reflection or any conscious awareness that, frankly, your spiritually enhanced insights are refreshing and emboldening as an aid in fighting off the daily challenge of dealing with the lunacy one encounters these days among a brain-dead public who believes whatever the daily propaganda machine says to them.

I.e., I like your blog. I think it's inspiring in the spirit sense and although more people should be reading it, given the reference even in the Bible to "the 144,000", it's small in ratio to the total population of the earth who have ever lived - and yet is promised to bring about vast change for the better. So I would not think 600 to 800 daily anything to fret over. I think it's a good solid number, given the challenges we face these days, against the dictatorship in power and lack of freedom, all based on lies, from which it has grown.

I say that as way of encouragement, in other words, and appreciation for you. Thanks.
